Aquatic pets are said to bring an incredible sense of peace and tranquillity around the house as well as to the people who live inside it.  Fish, no matter how simple of a specie, are creatures that are very serene and sensitive to their habitat and they are able to provide great balance wherever they are placed.

As a fish owner, you should be able to care for them in a way that you would any living creature.  One of the best ways to take care of them is using Juwel fish tanks as their habitat.  This line of aquarium as one of the best there is in the market because of its excellence in providing top of the line habitat for all kinds of fishes in the world.

Juwel fish tanks are generally very easy to clean because they are equipped with built in filtration systems that are very effective in keeping the inside clean.  However, it is very important that you always check the equipment itself to make sure that it is working well.  For one thing, the filter should be able to keep all the harmful elements out of the tank to make sure that the fish will not be stressed or disturbed.

Although Juwel fish tanks are designed to last for a very long time, you should be able to have them checked for any kind of malfunctions with qualified personnel regularly.  Sometimes there are certain particles that accumulate in the filter making it inefficient in keeping the tank clean.

You should clean the tank regularly, but not very often that you stress out the fishes too much.  Fish have the tendency to be distressed when they are taken out of their tanks too often so you should make it a point to clean the tanks just often enough to keep them healthy.

When you are cleaning the fish tank, you should not change all of the water inside because it will create an imbalance that tends to make the fishes ill.  You should only change about a quarter of the total volume of water so as to maintain cleanliness but not disturbing the balance inside the tank at the same time.  It is very important that you do not leave any leftover feedings floating around the tank as it will cause the same to get polluted and this contamination is not healthy to the fishes.
